Annette, the owner
Annette has been using her green fingers since she was 6 years old and occupied all the window sills in her parents house with annuals.
At the age of 10 she had 2 school gardens with edibles for 2 years, which she enjoyed working on a lot.
During her student time in Amsterdam she planned and kept her first whole gardens. She just had to have a garden, otherwise she would 'die'.
When she was 20 she worked the summer picking strawberries on a Norwegian farm and felt in love with Norway.
A pond for a friend was made.
Houses were bought or rented and left again. Many more home gardens were made.
Then she discovered Permaculture and read and watched everything she could find about it.
Annette took a 23-day PDC (Permaculture Design Course) at Panya in northern Thailand. Since then she has been looking around the world for the possibility to start a big permaculture garden.
August 2019 she found the place, not that far from her house.
Farris Permaculture was born. Plants from her present garden to be split in 2 and cuttings made. Autumn plant school sales visited to buy the first fruit and nut trees as well as other edibles for the food forest. After a temporary place at the northern boarder of the 'building grounds', all greens will get their permanent place after winter.
